This role would be ideal for a General Practitioner who has already experience or a special interest in Mental Health. It is split between a generalist GP role (majority of sessions) and a Clinical Lead one (dedicated weekly session). This position is set within an innovative group of GP practices providing robust admin and clinical support, and where all profits are redistributed to improve healthcare.
> Traditional GP function
o Lower workload: 12-14 consultations per session / Workflow administrator / robust admin and clinical support from the network.
o Very rare home visits
o Population: friendly, relatively young and deprived
> Mental Health leadership:
The GP will be in charge of developing resources, training and processes to help better address the mental health needs of patients (e.g. physical health checks for people with several mental health illnesses such as Schizophrenia, initiatives to address addictions, etc). The scope would be on a network of GP practices in the Sussex area. This is a new function and the group is expanding, so there is a good potential for the GP to input her/his vision of the services.
OTHER DETAILS:
> Salary: around GBP 11,000 / session
> 4 to 8 sessions (flexible days)
> High QOF score and Good CQC
> IT System: SystmOne
> Indemnity covered
> 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week training leave
