COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

ABOUT THE ROLE

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
> In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence
> Contributing to the summarising of patient records and read-coding patient data
> Prepare and complete the revalidation process
> Contributing to read-coding patient data
> Foster positive patient-doctor relationships through effective communication and empathy.
> Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
> Alert other team members to issues of quality and risk
> Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams
> Undertaking periodic infection control training (minimum twice annually)

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Fully GP trained with all essential skills
> Working within primary care
> Full membership of a medical defence union
> GMC registration
> Medical degree
> Fully qualified GP
> Commitment to continuous professional development including commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice
> Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of acute Primary care presentations
> Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure
